Dear Miss Aikawa, I deeply understand the cultural background behind the language. In fact the cultural aspect is ahead the language. The problem of the cultural aspect is related for those that want learn Nihongo especially outside Japan. In my humble opinion Nihongo should be teaching as a neutral and universal language. So many forms of speaking in addition to the complexity of writing transforms Nihongo in a non functional language. Nihongo requires a lot of time to be learned and according to that an instrumental approach would be very appropriated. Finally allow me to say that the cultural aspect is a coin with 2 sides and mutual respect in the learning process must be required as an equal point to be achieved. Please forgive my humble English and thanks for your time.
