We saw this summer an example of the
government trying to take it to a new level as they tried to introduce a
‘snitch line’ so that people could report on frontline health care workers if they
didn’t care for what they saw. The problems in our emergency rooms are not
the fault of the hard-working staff that are treating patients – overburdened,
underpaid, understaffed in our overcrowded emergency rooms. Mr. Speaker, the crisis in our ERs isn’t their fault. It’s this government’s fault. Mr. Speaker, will the Premier apologize to the staff who feel that their every move is under
the microscope and are being told that they have to be silent about what this
government is really doing, for fear of their employment?
