Iggy Azalea Weighs in on Religion and Daddy Issues on Sway in the Morning | Sway's Universe

this is suede suede suede suede in the morning in the morning in the morning to me right there that's just like the ultimate like turn on when a woman says pussy no no I know this song is old okay okay but it was I couldn't believe it when I first heard this song that a woman is actually saying Engel in my chest when you said that ah but at the same time it was a great way for you to step on to the scene yeah it was cool it was cool making them be heard right yeah definitely I think um I think the thing about being an artist is definitely important to have adverse reactions and make people emerge something if it's something really positive or even something negative and I think that song for me I knew it would emerge an emotion in people and um and so that's why I chose it so I think was the perfect first song Iggy Azalea has joined us by the way you know it's funny you say that because we was just having a conversation this morning about words and the power desk that comes behind words and the fact that jay-z is releasing his new album the Magna Carta the Holy Grail stirred up a lot of conversation right heaven yeah felt like it was blasphemous it's just power in words you can I'm life and death of the tongue okay now as an artist you know that you I'm sure you feel like your creative freedom as you're right yeah definitely I'm of course what artist doesn't think that Yeah right so is it anything that you would stay away from sane talking about or um yeah of course I would I try to stay away from religion definitely you know I try to stay away from racial things cuz that's just a bad idea especially then but you know what I think you should stay away from men to think that you aren't really kind of I guess passionate about I think if you want to make a statement about something like that that you know is going to be offensive you should be trying to say something not just do it for the sake of doing it I really like David LaChapelle and he often recreates the lost supper which is religious and that's a topic that I see occur in his photography over and over again but he has a point behind it or he uses it for to to say something sometimes it's about celebrity or other things and so I can respect it when he does that but I think if you're going to touch on subjects like that that are gonna offend people I think at least having a message you know what I mean not just for this for the sake of commercials or shock value I think so for me I'm not that religious I don't really have any opinions on religion that I feel like I need to tell people so I would stay away from that and race race things and oh yeah they have Church in Australia but I I'm from a bit of a funny community where it's it's very quote unquote alternative and so people kind of like all different kinds of things some people go to church some people like crystal healing or Eastern medicine Chinese medicine is a there's a bunch of different things my grandma is religious and if I were at her house in Sydney we would go to church on Easter Sunday but my mother is different uhm I don't know what she really believes she believes you go to heaven and she lies be like the universe is on our side I'm like what is it what is the universe I don't know sir walls are the universe oh yeah all that stuff so I don't know I kind of grew up around a lot of different people that thought a lot of different things it was a father in your life yeah he's in my life he's been in and out of it but um my late teens and early childhood he's been around would you say do you have you know a lot of times when the father isn't there they said girls grow up with daddy issues yeah yeah I heard that too did you have daddy daddy issues um I don't have daddy issues now because I'm an adult but I think when your child it's hard to look at your father or your mother mothers sometimes too as just human you say them so super human and sometimes there are things that affect them and they make choices that affect you and you don't understand them and so there were some things that my father did or sometimes his absence that I didn't necessarily understand though felt was selfish when I was younger but as I've grown up in being in different relationships myself or I can identify and empathize with him a lot better and we've definitely grown a lot closer as I've grown older so that's a cool thing this is really serious for me so I just need to lighten it up because when I think about eggie I think I do not sway okay okay you think of eg you think of work especially with white women because in the past a lot of people have thought that you guys haven't had any rhythm and now we see like Miley Cyrus we had what's-her-face ashley tisdale up here she's doing some talking so why did you learn to do this well I live down south for about seven years so I was in Miami and people dance like that they I lived in Atlanta I lived in Houston they do pick it up easy yeah I think anyone with rhythm should pick up torquing fairly easy I don't think it's very complex and you sold Traci how to season rhythm a challenge you can come to the show tonight that come on where's your show it's not a barre ballroom nice it's a tutorial at work tutorial Cordy tutorials but I know six girls that could help you out okay the thing that's interesting about you you have a you have a lot of things that I think appeal to people that attract people to you yeah we you know the song pussy attracted me to you yeah I'm attracted to pussy I'm proud of that nice twerking attracted uh you know Traci G yes that's what she's into you two twerking at least and to here first and foremost because you want I'm sure you want people to take you you know respectfully that's an artist as a rapper of course right yeah okay so idiot Illya is here I want to talk to you about rapping in your style and how you developed it and I would love to hear it you would love to hear it yes eight eight eight seven four two three teachers program this base and right here you rap all right eighteen eighty seven four two three three four five you want to talk to her call us now

Is he serious? Na bro there's no churches in Australia, they don't know about Jesus! People are still Pagan as fuck, sacrificing goats & shit to demons in the moonlight dancing 'round bonfires! lol

  3. IS "john from Tennessee" just an edit? because I can never seem to find the rest of the 16 secs. Clearly the "video" that plays in "Johns" spotlight begins from this one at 1:23. I'm not saying it never happened I just wanted to see what was said after that specific part of the interview. But as I said I can never seem to find it. lmao if anyone knows where I can find the rest of it please reply to me

Lol. Can she leave already?! She's such a joke to not only hip hop, but to just music in general. She has no flow, she doesn't even write her own songs, but then yet she claims she's done her research on hip hop?! Maaannn, fuck out of here with that!

  14. I am a seventh day Adventist. That means I am a christian who observes the sabbath. Now hell, is not eternity, and you don't burn alive forever. John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only and whosoever believes in him shall not PERISH but have everlasting life. It doesn't say you burn in hell alive forever, it says perish. You don't burn in hell alive forever what kind of God would that be. I would say a merciless unforgiving and cruel God. One day my friend when i was little said to me im not going to be a christian, i would rather live my life, then worship someone who would let me burn in hell alive. if you don't believe you just die.

  16. What a nice way to say "I'm an atheist, but I don't want to use that word because dumb Americans will stop buying my records."

  17. Why'd you interrupt?!  I love it so much when she talks about "life"  It's refreshing to hear what an artist actually thinks about.  I predict she breaks all the records…. because she's selling something that's actually real.  Keep being yourself, love.

And quite frankly, that Lady next to Iggy speaks the truth: ''There is life and death in the tongue.'' According to the bible, the tongue is the most powerful part of a man, and so therefore you must use it wisely and NOT abuse your rights of 'freedom of speech.' 'Pu$$y' …hmmm nice beat but an absolutely shameful reason to write a song. You will be judged in heaven for what you did on earth. Now just think, where would a song like that get you, into heaven? Glorify God with your mouth and words, please.

People, you DO NOT just ''go'' to heaven. That's just sad. You can't believe in heaven but not God (Jesus) to get you there. On your day of judgement, the last thing you want to hear  is for God to tell you, 'I never knew you.' Please, it takes more than a single service once a year.

  28. it's a shame you do rapping so well but can't back up your words in lyrics even if her life depended on it. Shows that she is just an entertainer and her lyrics are not based on raw experience that is relatable to a typical rap stars message typically from the streets or ghettos in america! Australia and their outbacks have no comparison whatsoever! I am beginning to realize she is just imposing on a talent and no truly being made of all the factors that create a rap star smdh
